Show I HIS LAST JOURNEY Member of Twelfth Battery Laid to Rest With Military Honors. At 3 p. m. Thursday the Stars and Stripes wore furled at half-mast at Fort Douglas, the solemn notes of church call resounded throughout the post as Charley Allller of the Twelfth battery made his lost Journey, with full military honors. The deceased's battery composed the llrlng squad, pall-bearers and chief mourners. Chaplain Paul T. Brockmann, Twenty-ninth Infantry, olflclated. The Infantry band was also present and rendered ren-dered the solemn airs appropriate for the occasion, while the battery trumpeter sounded taps over the grave of the dead soldier but who will sound reveille? |
