Cal March SO.-Coroncr Southworth has received a telegram from Dr. Hoy R.Rogora of the Cooper Medical collego of San Francisco, to whom portions por-tions of the Internal organs of A. Is Mc-Vlcar, Mc-Vlcar, whoso body Was found ln a trunk here last Saturday night, had been sent for analysis, stating that a small quantity quan-tity of chloral and marked quantities of morphine were found. There was no evidence evi-dence of the prcsenco of cyanide of potassium po-tassium op hydrocyanlde acid. Woman Bought Morphine. Mrs. Emma Lo Doux, who Is under arrest ar-rest for the murder of McVlcar, Is known recently to have purchased morphine and cjanldo of potassium. Tho inquest Into tho death of A. N. McVlcar began ut tho office of Coroner Southworth this afternoon. Tho Inquest developed tho fact that tho deceased had been put Into a trunk alive and that death was due partly to poison administered and partly to nsphyxfatlon. Imprisoned While Living'. Dr. J. P. Hull, one of the autopsy surgeons, sur-geons, stated that the presenco of a largo quantity of blood ln tho trunk showed conclusively that tho man must have btcn alive, though probably In a stupor, when ho was placed In the trunk, as tho breaking of a blood vessel aftur death would iiavo caused little or no hemorrhage. hemor-rhage. Poisons Were Found. There was no blood found In the room. Tim condition of the lungB and other organs gave evidence of asphyxiation, and the report of the chemist showed the presen?e of chloral hydrate and mor-i mor-i phlne.
