Work has been begun on a new flve-room flve-room cottage on Fifth West street, between be-tween Third and Fourth North, for Mrs. Julia Brennan. wife of a well-known Short Line engineer. George MtDonald. a popular engineer on the Rio Grande railroad, Is building a neat $2500 cottage home at Ninth West and Sccond South streets. A handsome four-room cottago Is being be-ing built on Seventh East Htreet, between be-tween Ninth and Tenth South, for John W. Warburton. Work is progressing rapidly on the new $2800 six-room cottage of Lorenzo Jensen, on J street, botween Fifth and' Sixth. The new residence of Mrs. Roslna Godbe, 131 South Fourth street, Is ncar-ing ncar-ing completion as Is that of Joph Powers at Seventh and I streets. Frank Swenson of the County Treas urer's office has" removed to his new residence at Seventh and D streets. Brick work on the now" Empire block on West South Temple street will have reached the necond flpor of the structure struc-ture by the middle of tho present week. The work has been delayed somowhut by Inability to get the brick on time. Work on the new residence of ex-Councilman ex-Councilman J. J. Thomas, at Eleventh East street and Emerson avenue, is progressing pro-gressing nicely. 3Ir. Thoma3 expects to occupy his new home bn the 1st of July. Business Notes.
