Everything pertaining to silk-making, from the little lit-tle worm feeding on the mulberry leaves to the woven silk fabric of tho mills, io shown in the great palace of manufactures and In the agrlculturo building at tho World'B fair. Cocoons from New York are used in this display, and the mulberry leaves upon which the silk worms feed are taken from trees imported from Italy. In the agricultural building the silk i worms may bo seen actively engaged in the first process of sIlk-maklng.Thclr silk cocoons are also shown. All stagco of silk culture are shown In the agriculture building, and the next atepf In sllk-maklng can be seen in the manufactures building, where the various phases of the work are exhibited, ex-hibited, from the raw silk to tho finished fabric Machinery begins where the worms leave ofT, and World's fair visltora who have seen, worn and admired the beautiful silks of commerce com-merce can sse how these soft strands are first made by the tiny worm among tho mulberry leaves and how man takes up the work of the worm and1 turns the raw silk Into the finest of fabrics. Tho machinery's work as well as the worm's work in the process of sllk-maklng Is done in plain view of the visitor. Juet beyond the silk factory Is exhibited ex-hibited a fine collection of beautiful silky of every discretion.
