Show VOTE THE BONDS I We trust that the taxpayers of Salt Lake City will vote tomorrow for the bonds I will save them money to do so There will have to be a special tax aid moreover thousands and thousands of dollars will have to be paid in high rate Interest unless the bonds shall be provided for because certain purchases and Improvements to Increase and to readjust the water supply must be made either on credit or for cash The objections objec-tions are either puerile or absolutely untrue The need of the Improvements has been fully set forth the estimates have been most carefully made some of the improvements have begun and they must be carried forward to insure the safety of the city and to meet the necessities of the people Just now the bonds can be disposed of without trouble trou-ble It might be different three months hence After all manner of experiments experi-ments the best judgment of experts Is that In order for a city to induce more people to come to It It should be made attractive and to supply the Imperative wants of the people Above all other things needed Is a sufficient and pure water supply The proposition is to sell bonds for immediate uses to bring the city up to the required status Let every taxpayer vote for the bonds I |
