Show o i I WHO MAY VOTE TOMORROW r l What Might Have Been is Set Forth in a Notice Issued Yesterday t by City Attorney Stephens I City Attorney Frank B Stephens issued Is-sued Instructions yesterday to the judges of the special water bonds election I tion which occurs tomorrow Only qualIfied voters who pay a property taxI tax-I I tire entitled to vote on the question I and those who pay merely a poll taxI tax-I will not be permitted to vote I Ill the notice the City Attorney says 1 the voters must be registered In the districts Where they reside but those who have removedslnce their last reg istration may secure transfers up to the tlmel o election to the districts where they now reside As this information I Infor-mation was not given out until yesterday yester-day all those who have moved and i not secured transfers will he unable to avail themselves of this privilege as transfers cannot be secured tomorrow the day oc the election Mr Stephens expressed the opinion Friday that voters who had moved would be permitted per-mitted to go to their old districts to vote but after looking Into the matter further he came to the conclusion fUlthel yesterday yes-terday that this woOl not be a proper procedure and Issued the notice accordingly ac-cordingly although the Information was mad public too late to be of avail to the voters affected I was given out yesterday Mr Stephens says so that those who had moved I would have the satisfaction of knowing that they might have had the privilege of voting had they secured transfers in time |
