Show Railroad Matters. We take the following from the Ogden Junction of last evening: Tho blockade of tho Utah Northern was raised yesterday. 1 ho company have been indefatigable in trying to open the road. A party of men from the sottlcments io Cache, assisted by the passengers who left Login on Saturday morninc, worked faithfully on Saturday and yoslcrday, and the train succeeded io reaching Brigham city about twelve o'clock last night. Bishop H. Hughes and twenty men have been engaged to fence doubtful places, and try and keep tho track clear of any obstructions during the remainder of the winter, and they mean business. A noted improvement in travel. The Union Pacific comes in and departs at regular hours. No obstruction on the route. The Central Pacific was as usual on timo. with a rood number of passengers. passen-gers. Among them were several who had been detained on the Utah Northern North-ern railroad by tho snow blockade. Two engines drew the Utah Central train in time and safety. Heavy drifts afo along the read, but tho Hack is clear. Among the passengers was Mr. Spencer Clawson of Silt Lako. |
