BIG KLONDIKE DEALS Henry Bratnober Invests Over Two Millions in Alaska There is no better proof of the value of the Klondike gold fields says the Denver Republican than the fact that t during his recent trip to Dawson City I I Henry Bratnober purchased for the 1 London Exploration company a num her of claims the aggregate nrice of I which was 2200000 When Mr Brat nober was in this city on his way from Alaska to England he Englad declined to say anything about the business of his company in Alaska though he said that there was no doubt of the value of the placers He was inclined however how-ever to discourage others from going II there on account of the difficulties of living The real purpose of his trip to the Klondike has now come out I through the arrival of H S Sherard at San Francisco whose claim on LI Dorado I Do-rado creek was one of those purchased for the British syndicate Mr Sherard said that he the I sad was owner of claim 7 on El Dorado creek from which he has taken something over 100000 The claim was sold to Mr Bratnober for 3175000 of which 571000 was paid down the balance to be paid in six months Mr Sherard brought down I I 17000 worth of gold dust which he 4 disposed of for 1 an ounce In relation j 4 rela-tion to the operations of the Explora ton company he said Bratnober i j came to Dawson City the past summer and bought eleven claims beside mine I j on El Dorado creEk I a told the I I aggregate amount he paid for these i claims was 52200000 He pad either I 250000 or 275000 for one claim He could not set claim 4 on El Dorado I creek and offered 500000 apiece for claims 1 2 and 3 on the same creel I but their owners refused to sell for less than Sl000000 each The first I four claims on El Dorado creek are j phenomenally rich and their gold will I run fully 16 to the ounce Bratnobers 112 I claims lie between 4 and 17 Mr Bratnober is now in London and j is expected to return here about Jan 1
