I THE MISSING BRIDEGROOM Why a Chicago Han Failed Show Up for the Wedding I Chicago Nov 19The police tonight secured their first clew to the disappearance disap-pearance of George A Bergman who failed to present himself for his wedding wed-ding to Miss Margaret Perry of 342 Fiftythird street on Tuesday nightS night-S E Lee living on Michigan avenue near Harrison street informed the police that late on the night on which Bergman disappeared he found a young man sitting on the sidewalk on the corner of Harrison street and Wabash avenue The man was apparently appar-ently in a stupor and when aroused by Lee said that he had been robbed and kept repeating What will she think What will all the folks say Lee could not get him to report the robbery to the police and the last seen of him the young man was walking toward to-ward the lake Lee thought no more of tlio matter until he saw Bergmans picture in the papers and concluded that it was the man whom he had seen The young man went out a few minutes min-utes before his marriage was to have occurred with 400 in his pockets and failed party to return to the waiting wedding
