| Show Ho Is In It F W Clark was struck with a bombshell bomb-shell from another source yesterday Ho was first arrested on the charge of obtaining obtain-ing money under false pretenses in Brigham Brig-ham City For this offense he succeeded in securing bonds for his appearance after much trouble He was hardly out of the predicament when a telegram came from Omaha parties ordering his arrest on the charge of forgery Clark was again placed in custody to await the arrival of an officer from that city The official reached Ogden Tuesday morning and armed with a warrant war-rant he went to Salt Lake to procure the necessary requisition papers from the governor gov-ernor M A Breeder attorney for Clark also went to the capital and took two days work to explain to Utahs chief magistrate that his client was held under bonds for the alleged offense of obtaining money under false pretenses and that it was his opinion that he should be held to answer the charges entered against him here in preference prefer-ence to those of Nebraska The governor after considering the matter mat-ter somewhat viewed the case in tho same light and refused to grant the requisition The music man was subsequently released re-leased But in tho meantime information was filed before Judge Bishop by Charles Jacobs and a warrant issued for the arrest of Clark on the charge on embezzling tt14i from the firm of Jacobs Bros of Omaha It seems from the tone of this complaint filed that Clark while In the employ of the firm in Omaha feloneously and fraudulently fraudu-lently appropriated for his own use the funds of the concern which he had obtained ob-tained through the collections from sales ho had previously made He is in tho custody of the United States marshal and what disposition will bo made of the case remains yet to be seen |
