Show vasts: BGfe Aurelia Olsen, 109 West 1500 South, Bountiful, will retire on Oct. 31 after 41 years and two months as secretary of the Division of Family Services Ser-vices (DFS) in Farmington. ORIGINALLY Mrs. Olsen was hired as a stenographer-secretary stenographer-secretary for the Department of Public Welfare in Farmington, Far-mington, but, although Mrs. Olsen remained at the same job, the agency's name was changed and she now works for the DFS. When she took over the position on March 15, 1938, the offices were located in the courthouse building. PRIOR to her position with DFS, Mrs. Olsen was a stenographer for two other government agencies in Farmington. Far-mington. ' Although she admitted that she will miss her work after all the years, she says she "is looking forward to having time to catch up" on some things she hasn't been able to do over the years when she has worked. She doesn't plan on traveling at first, but wants to spend some time with her five grandchildren, and her daughter, Teresa Aurelia Anderson and her husband Robin Anderson who live next door. MRS. OLSEN says that most of the last two weeks have been spent in getting the work all caught up before she leaves. After Oct. 31 instead of worrying about problems at the DFS, she'll "be thinking about what color to paint some of the rooms in my house and what color the new curtains should be." She plans to get things caught up at home before she begins to travel, maybe to the South Pacific. She's also looking forward to learning china painting at the Golden Years Center in Bountiful, attending book reviews and "watching the late, late show." MRS.
