Show Meet Awaits Elder Sill Elder Sterling W. Sill, a member of the The First Quorum of Seventy of the Church of Jesus Christ of a Latter-day Saints will speak at the Bountiful Utah Orchard Stake Conference Sunday, Oct. 30 in North Salt Lake. ELDER Sill was born March 31, 1903 in Layton. He had his early training at Davis County schools, University of Utah. He taught school for two years, is a prominent businessman, educator, popular speaker and a prolific writer, a retired insurance executive, the-author the-author of 21 books on religious and social themes and has been the speaker over Radio KSL on the longest continuous program on the air. He was president of the Salt Lake Exchange Club in 1938 and of the Salt Lake Association Associa-tion of Life Underwriters. He was awarded the Carnegie Hero Medal by the Carnegie Hero Foundation in Philadelphia. Pa. ELDER Sill filled a mission in the southern states from 1 x i V AiiL STERLING W. SILL 1924-26. He has served as bishop, high councilman, Sunday School General Board member, and was called as an assistant to the Council of the Twelve in 1954. He was ordained or-dained to the First Quorum of Seventy in 1976. He married Doris Mary Thomley, Sept. 4, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have two sons and one daughter. THE visiting General Authority will present the theme of "Our Missionary Opportunities."
