Show (louse Bums In m Although the house they were renting was severely damaged, a mother and her six children, escaped from a fire in the house located at 1719 South 700 West, Woods Cross, without injury. LT. BRAD Orgill, Davis County Fire Department, said Peggy Snodgrass and the children, ranging in age from 18 months to 14 years all were in the home at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday when the fire broke out in the washroom and kitchen area. All escaped from a back window. Although Mrs. Snodgrass was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, she was later released. None of the children were injured. THE Gerald Snodgrass family had been renting the house from Lorenzo Spencer. Lt. Orgill said the whole house suffered smoke damage, but he could not estimate es-timate the monetary extend of the damage. The cause of the fire is pending while the evidence is being considered .by the criminology lab at Weber State University. "But it was definitely an accident,''. Lt. Orgill said. TWO FIRE pumpers and a rescue truck responded to the fire and it was contained in ten minutes, according to Lt. Orgill. He said that the house "went up fast." Seventeen volunteer firemen responded to the blaze, finishing cleaning clean-ing up operations in about an hour, rk |
