Show Ellen Buckland Loder DUP Camp The Ellen Buckland Loder Camp of Daughters of Utah Pioneers met Friday, Oct. 21 at Bountiful Gardens at the home of Olive Taylor. Hostesses Hos-tesses for dessert served to 18 members present were Mildred Patterson, Neva Newcomb and Olive Taylor. JUNE Wilson, vice captain, conducted. Opening prayer and blessing on the food was given by Fern Evans. Irma Humphrey led the salute to the flag. Roll call and minutes of the previous meeting and report on the treasury were given by Blanche Trumbull. A pioneer history of John R. Barnes who came from England to Utah and settled in Kaysville in 1853 was read by his great-granddaughter, Dorothy Blanpied. BEATRICE Mabey, lesson director, presented the lesson on "Pioneer Memorial , Museum and Carriage , House." Family artifacts were brought by Beatrice Mabey, Neva Newcomb, June Wilson and Olive Taylor and passed for members to see. |
