Roddy is a r 1970 Air Force Reserve Officers Offic-ers Training Corps distinguished disting-uished graduate from St. Michael's College, Winooski. Vt. He also holds a bachelor of arts degree in English literature litera-ture from the college. His early Air Force days were spent in maintenance officer assignments at McGuire AFB. N.J., Goose Air Base, Labrador, and Castle Cas-tle AFB, Calif., directing maintenance for C-141, KC-H5 KC-H5 and B-52 aircraft. BEFORE COMING to Hill AFB in August 1978. Capt. Roddy was assigned first as a maintenance manpower plans and programs staff officer and " then as an assistant executive officer for the deputy chief of staff for logistics at Headquarters Headquar-ters United States Air Forces in Lurope. Roddy had a unique opportunity to develop his management skills w hen he recognied the need for and designed a comprehensive facility transfer plan of the U.S. base to the control of the Canadian Ministry of Transport.
