Show Rezoning Hearing Set By County Commissioners FARMINGTON A public pub-lic hearing to consider rezoning rezon-ing property for a duplex or twin home in Val Verda has been set for Jan. 6 at 3 p.m. THE DAVIS County Commission Com-mission will consider a request by E. Grenn Clark to rezone a parcel at 696 W. 3100 S. from R-1A to R-2. The change would allow construction of the housing unit with an old water tower to serve as the foundation. A previous public hearing was conducted by the county planning commission with no opposition received. AT THAT same meeting a hearing to determine rezoning from agricultural to high density densi-ty residential development found the commission deferring defer-ring action to Farmington city officials. Wendell Leavitt requested the change to allow construction construc-tion of apartment units at 450 S. Frontage Road near the city limits. The planning commission commis-sion took the action because law requires that cities within ': mile of any proposed development de-velopment in unincorporated areas be advised of such action and possible annexation procedures proc-edures enacted, tb |
