Show Funeral Services Held In Kanarra for Miss Wetona Williams KANARRA, Utah. Funeral services serv-ices were held in the Kanarra ward chapel Wednesday, Mar. 8, for Wetona Williams, 14, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. George Berry Williams, who died in the L. D. S. hospital Mar. 5th, of brain tumor, after a week's illness. She had previously been in the Basic hospital hos-pital for three weeks. Bishop Lynn Reeves conducted the services. Music numbers included in-cluded a vocal duet, "Unanswered Yet", Fern and Opal Williams; solo, "Lay My Head Beneath the Rose", Lamont Thornock; duet, "Come, Unto Jesus", Lorin Miles and Elda Manning; solo, "Coming Home", Ray'Cosslett; trio, "Heaven", "Heav-en", Dixie Kleinman, Laurel Jackson Jack-son and Ruth Bringhurst, all of Toquerville; and a duet, "Lulla-bye "Lulla-bye and Goodnight", Mr. Miles and Miss Maning. Speakers At Services Speakers were Dr. Reed W. Farnsworth, Wells A. Williams, Wm. H. Graff, Bishop R. Williams, Wil-liams, Orval Abbott and Joseph Wilson. Prayers were by Lyle Prince and Dee Stapley, and the grave in -Kanarra cemetery was dedicated by Sheriff Antone B. Prince of St. George. Born in Cedar City July 1, 1929, she was a daughter of George Berry and Juanita Davis Williams. She attended school in Kanarra until 1942-43 when the family moved to Bunkerville and she enrolled en-rolled in Valley high. This year she attended Basic high in Henderson, Hen-derson, Nev., where she was a member of the band, took special part in the opera, and assisted in dancing. She has taught in children's Primary since she was 12 years of age. Surviving are her parents of Henderson; and the follSwing brothers and sisters: Preston P. Williams and Alenna Berry of Kanarra; TSgt. Park B. Williams, Wil-liams, with the U. S. Army; Mrs. Avery Bringhurst, Toquerville; Mrs. Thomas Bryner, St. George; Clara, Dallen, Juana and Marlow Blair Williams, now of Henderson. Nev.; and her maternal grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reese Davis of New Harmony. |
