Show Baxter-Clark Wedding Lovely Soeial Event Mr. and Mrs. Hugh A. Baxter of Springville announce the marriage of their daughter Delia to Dr. Albert Clark, son of Mrs. Laura Clark and the late Dr. J. C. Clark, Provo. - The wedding, June 18 at 8:15 p. m., in the Fourth ward chapel, was witnessed by 120 of the bride and groom's closest friends and relatives. The bride was beautiful in her slipper-satin wedding gown, en train, adorned with a wide lace ruffle. Her veil of1 bride's illusion was attached to a braid of satin with orange blossom rosettes. She carried a delicate bouquet of pink roses and tiny lilies. She was attended at-tended by her sister, Mrs. Roger Nielson as matron of honor, who wore teal blue taffeta, and the bridesmaids, Bonnie Baxter and Barbara Clark, in identically fashioned fash-ioned dresses of yellow. The design de-sign of the bridesmaids' dresses closely resembled that of the bride and each bridesmaid wore a corresponding cor-responding colored braid and coronation coro-nation rosettes on her head to match that of the bride. They carried car-ried pretty nosegays of yellow and blue carnations. The bride and her father walked down the aisle which was decorated decorat-ed with blue canterberry bells and fern tied with white ribbon, to the pipe-organ music of Lohengrin's Wedding March. She was met at the altar by the groom who was attended by his brother, Grant Clark. The ushers were Hoyt Baxter Bax-ter and Dr. DaCosta Clark. The gentlemen were attired in evening clothes. The fireplace, banked with ferns, white roses, blue delphinium and white canterberry bells, formed the altar. Candelabra and candles banked with white roses in the windows provided the only lighting light-ing for the ceremony which was performed by Bishop Howard May-cock. May-cock. The bridal party then recessed re-cessed to the organ strains of Men-delsshon's Men-delsshon's "Wedding March." A reception was held in an adjoining ad-joining room in the chapel where the bride and groom greeted their friends and cut a beautiful, four-tiered four-tiered wedding cake. Later, the couple changed to "going-away clothes," the bride appearing lovely in a robin-blue suit, black hat with white feather trim, white doeskin gloves, black patent leather shoes and bag. The grdbm wore a blue serge suit. The couple plan to honeymoon through the Northwest and down the coast. When they return, they plan to make their home in Provo, where Dr. Clark is practicing dentistry. |
