Show Urge Reception Marks Wedding Anniversary CeUrnlinfi their Golden Wedding anniversary. Mr. 1 Mrs. M. . hd of th,s city greeted more than 350 relatives and Inends at a well-planned reception at their home on Monday evening. I Music was furnished during the reception Ly Martin Conover. a grandson who gave piano selections; Ly Mrs JfSsie b. Goates. who gave vocal numbers, accompanied fcvMrs. Julia bumsion and by Miss Kay Groesbeck who played piano numbers. String music was furnished during a major part ol the evening. The serving table was beautifully decorated for the occasion with a centerpiece of gold-colored mums arranged with gold satin ribbon. On either side were crystal candelabra candel-abra holding white tapers and tied with gold-colored satin ribbon. Miss Dorothy Snow oEjSalt Lake City poured and assisting with the refreshments were: Mrs. Mary B" Huish of Berkeley. Calif.; Mrs. Margaret Conover, Mrs. Helen G. Campbell. Mrs. Louise G. Rogers. Mrs. Shirley B Hardy of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Catherine D. Wills, Mrs. Rhoda Dougall, Mary Catherine Wills and Mary Connie Conover. The guests were greeted at the door by Miss Carol Bird of Salt Lake City and Nicholas Bird of Los Weles, Calif. Add ing to the lovely entertainment were the decora-ions decora-ions including roses and chrysanthemums and potted plants arranged about the entertaining rooms. The many lovely gifts received by the guests of honor, were displayed during the evening. On Sunday, a family dinner at the Bird home marked the wedding anniversary with covers arranged for the immediate family including: Miss Carol Bird of Salt Lake City; Nicholas G. Bird of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs' F. E. Huish of Berkeley, Calif. ; Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Conover and son Martin and daughter Mary Connie, and the guests of honor. |
