Show Church Rites Unite Toung Couple Wed. July 8 Surrounded by beautiful 7eaily summer flowers and a cKurcK setting, Miss Janis Pulley, daugliter of Mr. Boyd and Mel vina P. JoKnson, became the bride of Henry O. Angus, son of Mr. and Mrs. John I. Angus, ( of Benjamin. The ceremony was performed Friday, July 8, by Bishop Bis-hop Oscar Whiting of the Maple-ton Maple-ton ward. A reception followed the ceremony in the amusement hall. The .bride was lovely in a white taffeta dress with insets of lace in the skirt and an attractive oval neckline with a wide collar. Her fingertip veil fell from a crown of seed pearl. She carried ruben lillies tied with a large pink- tow with long streamers. Mrs. Johnson, the bride's mother, mo-ther, was dressed in an afternoon dress of pink eyelet pique. Mrs. Angus chose an afternoon dress of print toemberg design. Both wore corsages of ruben lily. Maid of honor was Colleen Hol-ley. Hol-ley. Bridesmaids were Martha Smith, aunt of the bride; Lila Lucas, Lu-cas, Ethel Newman, Creeta Whiting Whit-ing and Faye Angus. Each wore $ pastel formals and corsages of red roses and carnations. In charge of the gift room was Barbara Murray, Mabel Hansen, and Ida Diamond. Mary Joe Givi-den, Givi-den, Georgene Gividen and Mary Leone Smith were the gift bearers. bear-ers. Pearl Holley, Jessie Beardall and Zora Hales and Mae Stone were in charge of refreshments. Edna Knight iplayed the wedding march on the organ. Lynn Hanks acted as master of ceremonies, introducing the program which consisted of a vocal duet by Glenn Holley and Freeman Bird, vocal duet iby Mrs. Weight and Mrs. Hawkins of Benjamin and a toast to the bride toy Mrs. Ethel Jensen. The newlyweds received many lovely gifts during the evening. They are making their home in Mapleton. |
