Show Guests Attend Ladies Literary Club Meet The Ladies Literary club first annual guest day meeting, to which all former members of the club were invited, was held on Thursday evening of last week, at the home of Mrs. A. E. Jacobsen, with Mrs. Wm. Schreiner co-hostess. It was a happy reunion with eight former club members, all of whom had moved from Springville, returning for the club meeting. The program included an interesting interest-ing review of the club's organization organiza-tion nineteen years ago, together with the various activities highlighting high-lighting the period, presented by Mrs. Berton Groesbeck, club historian. his-torian. Richard Sumsion entertained with a piano selection; Mrs. F. C. Packard gave two vocal numbers; Mrs. Oliver Dalton and Mrs. E. S. Groesbeck, vocal duets, with Mrs. Lacelle Sumsion, accompanist, and Miss Carol Jacobsen and Miss Nancy Salisbury, piano duet. The program was preceded by a delicious delic-ious luncheon served by the hostess hos-tess to all twenty club members, and the following special guests, each of whom during the evening gave a short talk: Mrs. Frank Salisbury, Mrs. Ford Crandall, Mrs. Bill Grooms, -Mrs. Grant Crandall of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lawrence Maycock of Orem; Mrs. T. L. Callister of Spanish Fork; Mrs. Alta Fox of Provo, and Mrs. Arva Bone of Lehi. |
