Bishop Joseph S. Glass of the Salt Lake diocese i of the Catholic church performed the ceremony in the presence of a few close friends of the young couple. A wedding breakfast followed. The breakfast table had a centerpiece of Shasta daisies I and cornflowers arranged in a silver basket. The bride wore a chic Lucile model of dark blue baronette satin and Georgette 1 crepe, with a Russian squirrel cape and a hat of pearl grey satin, with a grey wil, She carried a shower of orchids and (blue cornflowers, tied with white tulle. Miss Margaret Collins, maid of honor, was gowned hi pale grey Georgette crepe, with a black picture hat. They will make their home in Salt Lake as long as Lieutenant Phillips Is stationed at Fort Douglas. The bride is a social favorite and Lieutenant Lieu-tenant Phillips has become popular in Salt Lake during his residence at the local army post. J For the benefit of the Smith college unit for civilian relief in France, a large silver tea was given at the home of Mrs. C. E. Allen on First avenue yesterday v afternoon. Spring flowers decorated the rooms. I Tn the dining room the shades were drawn and the tea table was lighted with L white tapers. A bronze bowl of white 9 pyre thrum and nicotine was the centerpiece center-piece for the table, developing a white i and green color scheme. Red and white j peonies and low bowls of pansies adorned the reception room. A musical program was given during the aftemnon by Miss Florence Kimball, J vocal soloist, and Mrs. Lydia "White Booth by. harpist. A large sum was collected col-lected in free will offerings for a good cause. Presiding at the tea table were Mrs. Simon Bamberger, Mrs. E. A. Wall. Mrs. 12. A. Greenwood.
