(iKKAIJ) BOWI.KK Evans claimed by Bowler in double-ring ceremony PAROWAN - Miss Sheila Evans became the bride of Gerald Wayne Bowler on January 11, 1975, in a double ring ceremony which took place in the Parowan Third Ward Relief Society Room, Bishop Ernest Alhborn officiating. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Farris M. Evans of Parowan; Mr. and Mrs. Quenton Bowler are parents of the bridegroom. Following the wedding ceremony, a reception honoring the couple was held in the Parowan Third Ward Cultural Hall. The bride was radiant in a long gown of white satin with princes lace over the top and long sleeves. The gown featured a high neck and ruffle at the hemline, also a three tiered veil. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and baby's breath. Matron of honor was Mrs. Sandra Roberts, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Gail E. Fowler, Mrs. Joy Talbot, sisters of the bride, and Mrs. Paulette Burt, Mrs. Betty Sue Katz, Mrs. Loree Steele, Miss Susann Warren, and Miss Lynne Maekelprang. They were lovely in long dresses of pink and purple crepe with silver trim, carrying bouquets of matching flowers. Christy and Colette Roberts, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. They were adorable in long dresses of pink and purple satin trimmed with pink and purple ribbons. They carried baskets of flowers. Standing as best man was Thomas Holyoak. Mothers of the couple wore long pink dresses with silver trim and purple orchid corsages. The bride wore a light pink pantsuit with lace trim as her going away outfit. The young couple honeymooned in Las Vegas, then returned to Manti where they are making their home. |
