Show Golden Wedding Plans Laid by Cedar Couple j Mr. and Mrs. T. Melvln Mathews Ma-thews will observe their golden' wedding anniversary Wednesday, October 5. They will hold an open house at their residence on October 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 p. m., when friends and relatives are Invited to call. They request no gifts. ! Mr. Mathews was born in Beaver. Bea-ver. Dec. 3, 1888. Mrs. Mathews was born in Kanosh, Nov. 18, 1889. They were married Oct. 5, 1910 In the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Tem-ple. Mr. Mathews filled a mission for the LDS church from 1908 to 1910 in the Northwestern States. The couple spent the first 32 years of their married life in Beaver where Mr. Mathews served serv-ed as a' Sunday School teacher, I President of the Elders Quorum, secretary of the Seventy Quorum, President of YMMIA and Superintendent Super-intendent of Sunday School. For the past 18 years they have made their home In Cedar City. They are parents of Beven children, Donald M., Mrs. Carson Car-son (Vie) Sprague, Mrs. Dan (Bernelce) Henrie,, John F. and G. Clark., all of Cedar City; Howard How-ard R.. Canoga Park, Calif., and Mrs. Ward (Bonnie) Perry, Salt Lake City.
