Show Elaine Langford, Kenneth Fawson Speak Marriage Vows in LDS Temple Ceremony Miss Elaine Langford became the bride of Kenneth D. Fawson on Monday, August 25, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. President Bryan L. Bunker officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride is a daughter of former Cedar C'itv residents, Mr. and Mrs. Moroni B. Langford, who now make their home in Granger, Utah. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth C Fawson, Grantsvilie, Utah. Following the wedding, the newlyweds were honored at a reception re-ception in Grantsville and another an-other reception, August 24, in Cedar City. For the nuptial affairs af-fairs the bride wore a white sheath style dress with round neck-line and lily-point sleeves. The dress was made of peau de soie and covered with silk organza or-ganza featuring floral appliques and seed pearls on the bodice and turning down and around the bottom of the skirt. A fingertip finger-tip veil of briday illusion was caught to a crown of seed pearls. To complete her costume ensemble, ensem-ble, Elaine held a bouquet of gaint white mums intertwined with red satin piping. Mrs. Douglas (Sandra) Maxwell, Max-well, sister of the bride, stood as matron of honor. Mrs. Charles (Meredith) Briggs, Mrs. Kon (Judy) Osterhout, Miss Maureen Mau-reen Larson all served as bridesmaids brides-maids while Cindy Sutton and Jana Maxwell were flower girls. Matron of honor and bridesmaids dresses were floor length sheath style of red and fushia brocade with matching Jackets. Flower girls wore floor-length red taffeta and organza dresses and held nose gays of white mums intertwined with matching match-ing ribbons. Twin brother of the bride, groom, Curtis Fawson was best man. Ushers were Douglas Maxwell, Max-well, La Roll Fawson and Chuck Byers. Both the bride's mother and the bridegroom's mother wore ol- I ive green dresses adorned with white orchid cosagcs. The bride's goingaway costume cos-tume was a silk and linen two piece dress in a lime green and yellow textured plaid With mulching accessories. Following their honeymoon tile couple will make their home in Provo where Mr. Fawson will continue his studies at Brigham Young University and his bride I will teach home economics ut Dixon Jr. High School. The bride attended College of Southern Utah where she was editor of the yearbook and was i Miss CSU. She graduated from Utah State University in Home Economics. At USU she was a member of Phi Upsilon Omieron, honorary Home Ec. Sorority. She has been teaching school at Vo-: ; oele High School for the past I ! two years. READING CLUB J The final summer meeting of i the Reading Club was held last week a' the home of Sage Thor-ley Thor-ley with Mrs. Cora Stucki assisting assist-ing as co-hostess. Thirteen members mem-bers and two guests, Mrs. Alice B. Lunt and Mrs. Beele White; were entertained by Mrs. Jessie Lou Albertson who read two ex-1 citing stories by author Konrad Bercevicl entitled "Bentijevsilent" and "The Four Nails". Election , of officers who will lead the group throughout the coming' season was held with Mrs. Flor- j I ence Higbee being chosen as I president, Mrs. Jessie Loue Al- bertson as vice president and Lona Watson as secretary and re-1 porter. The club will recess until October when thev will hold their first monthly meeting. I Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Wade and 'children of Las Vegas were here ! for the week end. Mrs. Wade and 'children have remained for an extended visit with her sister Jane and brother-in-law Boyd I They will also visit the Leigh Wades and West Seegmiller families fam-ilies during their stay. FAWSON A dinner party staged in honor hon-or of Mr. and Mrs. William Wood- 3 bury and Capt.. and Mrs. John Bryce Woodbury and three child- t ren of Salt Lake City was held $ August 23 at the home of Mr. t and Mrs. Reed Bradshaw. The 3 , William Woodburys, who were celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary September 6th, were V honored by their sons, daugh- J lers and grandchildren and Capt. and Mrs. John Woodbury were given an official welcome home after spending three years J in Japan. Besides the honored guests and hosts, there were Mr. J and Mrs. Ted Jolley and four children of Antimony, Mr. and J Mrs. Clair Reber and daughter of Santa Clara, Mrs. Ronnie Jones J and baby, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hall Mr. and Mrs. Karl Bradshaw and J daughters, and Mr. and Mrs. Ru- i Ion Woodbury and Cyndi of Ce-iJ dar City in attendance.
