Show Funeral services held for retired serviceman Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 17 at the Cedar Ce-dar Tenth Ward Chapel for Ambrose Adams Hamblin, 52, who died at the Valley View Medical Center June 20 of natural na-tural causes. Hamblin was recently retired re-tired from the United States Navy with the rank of Lieutenant Lieu-tenant (j.g.) During his military mili-tary service he served in World War II, and saw action in both Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was born Oct. 22, 1917, in Cedar City to Edwin Duke and Delia May Adams Hamblin. Married Martha Dellinger, 1944 in California; divorced. Survivors include his mother, moth-er, Mrs. Woodruff (Delia) Knight, Cedar City; three brothers, bro-thers, LaMar, Cedar City; Vane and Bailey, both Henderson, Nev.; and a sister, Mrs. Dee (Jean) Evans, Parowan. Burial was in the Cedar City Ci-ty cemetery. |
