Show V Miller Norton "V" Miller Norton, 73, died in Provo on October 1, 1991. He was born to Albert and Agnes Miller Norton in Panguitch on September 22, 1918. On January 19, 1945 he married Dora Cook. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He was a carpenter for the Civilian Conservation Corp and a World War II veteran. He was employed by Geneva Steel, Provo. His survivors include: wife, Provo; one son, Bruce V. Norton, also of Provo.and one daughter, Mrs. James (Neidra) Crisp, Arva-da, Arva-da, Colo.; and 13 grandchildren. Other survivors are three brothers and one sister, McLaine Norton, Brigham City; Leo Norton, West Bountiful; Emil Norton and Mamie Talbot, both of Panguitch. Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Lakeside LDS Ward in Provo where Bishop Douglas Hal-laday Hal-laday officiated. The family prayer was offered by McLaine Norton with another prayer by Jerry Kendall. Laura Hansen provided the prelude and postlude music as well as accompaniment to the musical mu-sical selections sung by Lila, Da-lene Da-lene and Dawnell Kendall, Jamie Crisp and Nanette Lamb.Speakers were Neidra Crisp, A. Roy Boulter and William G. Levingston. A tribute was offered by niece, Heidi Strong, with closing remarks by Bishop Halladay. Thirl Tew offered of-fered the closing prayer. Pallbearers included Bruce V. Norton, Chad Norton, Andy Norton, Nor-ton, Jacob Crisp, David Anderson and Douglas Dennis, with Matthew Mat-thew Norton and Noah Norton as honorary pallbearers. The grave was dedicated by James Crisp. Interment was in the Provo City Cemetery with full military rites being performed by V.F.W. District No. 4. |
