The Lady Bruins were just to much for the young Lady Vikings to handle in their 45-1- 9 loss. Take away the 30 points that Julie Slappi and Debbie Pollard scored together and the game would have been entirely different. Our inability to score greatly hurt our chances as we would work the ball for a good shot only to make a turnover to keep us from scoring, Coach John Kunty said after the game. Lila Fugal lead the Lady Vikings with seven points while Bonnie Turner chipped in with six. The Lady Vikings have played the defending 2A and 3A State Cham-pions in their opening games of the season. That is quite a lot to ask our young Lady Vikings to handle but have showed great improvement in their first two games, the coach explained.
