Show Police investigate $20,000 burglary Iindon Police Chief Leon Laws is heading an investigation of a burglary at the Craig Fryer home on Dec. 10 in which items valued at $20,000 were taken. Chief Laws said that the burglary occured in the evening while the family was away from the home for a short time. Entry by the theives was made through the front basement window. Household items, a VCR, stereo equipment, etc. were taken. The entire home was ransacked the police chief said. Chief Laws said that they have determined that four persons entered the home. They have no suspects at the present time but the chief is confident they will have a break in the case soon. Another burglary Monday night at the Jensen Bros. Excavating at 1490' W. 200 S., was reported to officers. Mike Manning of the Lindon Police Department said that someone entered the building through a window, broke through an office wall and took $200 in cash. Damage to the building and contents was estimated at $400. Officer Manning said he suspects the theives knew what they were looking for. The investigation is continuing. Two people escaped serious injury Tuesday morning in an accident apparently caused by slick roads on Lindon Hill. Officer Manning said that a car driven by Ellen S. Price of Provo began sliding on the hill while she was southbound and entered the northbound lane of traffic where the back of her vehicle was struck by a truck driven by Robert Gapmayer of Heber. The Price car was totalled while the Gapmayer vehicle received $400 damage. The pair were treated for minor injuries and released at the scene by Pleasant Grove Ambulance personnel. A second accident resulted because of the first incident. Officer Manning said a car driven by Roger A. Doering of Cedar City tried to avoid the first accident and hit a parked car. Damage to his car was listed at $200. There were no injuries. |
