Show i Timpanogos Cave closes for season As of November 1, 1983, the cave system and the l'z mile access trail 1 at Timpanogos Cave National ,! Monument was closed for the winter i; season. The caves will reopen next J May as soon as weather permits. i During the past summer season, National Park Rangers guided 4,011 , tours through the caves, ac-I ac-I commodating 64,977 visitors. These 1 figures represent an increase of 1 over 6,000 visitors compared to 1982. I ' "During the winter months the , monument's visitor center will remain open from 8:00am to i . 4:30pm, Monday through Saturday. It will be closed on Sundays and Holidays. The visitor center con-" con-" tains museum exhibits and a 12 minute slide program about the ) park. Information on nearby winter ( sports areas and other National 1 Park Service areas will also be " available. Park Rangers will be available to , present programs to schools and ;j other gorups during the winter.
