Show CRAQUN HOLDS POSITION. Attempt to Have Health Officer Removed Re-moved Falls. Special to Tho Trlhuno. BRIGHAM CITY, Dec. 5. At the last mooting of the board of county commissioners commis-sioners an effort was made by the people peo-ple of Colllnston and other northern Boxoldor towns to oust Dr. Cragun of Garland as health officer for tho district dis-trict comprising the northern part of tho county. A petition was also presented pre-sented by prominent poople In that section sec-tion asking tho commissioners to retain Dr. Cragun In that position, and the board, after eomo deliberation, voted In favor of retaining the physician. Upon recommendation of Constable Thomas Haws of Plymouth, the sheriff was Instructed to securo appropriate official of-ficial Btars for all tho proclncts of the county. The county attorney filed a report of tho proceedings of Boxoldor county vs. L. ii Miller, In which tho county brought suit to condemn right of way through tho land of Miller. Tho suit being won by the county, tho road commissioner was Instructed to build a new highway, high-way, closing the old road. A communication was received from tho town board of Tremonton In which they proffered to convey Tremonton Btrect In that town to the county, provided tho county will keep tho road In first-class repair. Tho Tremonton poople were notified noti-fied that the county cannot accept tho proposition unless the collection of poll tax In Tremonton Is turned over to the county. Many other matters concerning concern-ing tho highways of the county were discussed dis-cussed at tho meeting. |
