As a result of trying to pass a delivery wagon ou a narrow grade on State street, between Fiftoonth and Sixteenth South streets, an automobllo was overturned and Albert Ayers, a farmer from Oasis, la now in tho county hospital with a broken back, with practically no chance for recovery. re-covery. It was rathor dark and tall -weeds on tho sldo of tho grade obscured tho steep bank and hid tho danger. As they started to go around tho wagon, the membora of the auto party wero hurled to tho bottom of tho grade as the machine turned complotoly over. Ayers was riding in tho front seat with Marshall and fell on him at the bottom of tho grade. W. S. Owon of CG7 Third avenue, who was passing in an automobllo a few minutes min-utes later, saw tho predicament of tho unfortunate men and took all of thorn to the emergency hospital at police headquarters. head-quarters.
