Show DRAG AND HARROW COMBINED This Is a very useful Implement and can be made with very little cost. The accompanying cut will give you an idea of the construction. Any material at hand may be used, and I find the following to he about the rifcht proportion for a two-horse team: One piece 2x8 six foct lone, any lough wood; this Is for harrow frame; two pieces 2x3 five feet Ions to attach to drag the harrow; two pieces 2x6 five feet long, joists of drag; four pieces 1x12 and two pieces 1x3 six feet long, nailed to Joist as shown in cut. The harrow frame Is fastened to the joists by two staples made of -Inch round iron, as shown. This allows the harrow to pass over any stone or little stump without Injury. The hitches arc made with a piece of chain or wire run through the joists and end board as illustrated. J. Wesley Wes-ley Griffin. |
