Funeral of J. . Keyes. Impressive funeral services over the remains of Joseph Lorin Keyes were held Friday afternoon, commencing at 2 o'clock, at the Uintah Ward meeting house. The attendance was unusually) large, and many beautiful floral tiibutes silently told.of the high esteem in which the deceased was held in the community in which he had lived all his life. Bishop's Bish-op's Counselor Kendall presided at the services. Music was furnished by the ward choir. The useful. God fearing life of the deceased was eulogized and many words of comfoit spoken to the bereaved family- by President C. F. Middlelon and " Patriarch George W. Larkin. On the evening of May 15, of this year, the prisoner, j who is a negro, became involved in a dispute with Charles Staples, another negTo, who had followed the races to I this city.
