Mis Hazel Hotchkiss. the California girl who. emulating em-ulating Miss May Sutton, came east a week ago to try to take the woman's national lawn tennis championship to the far west, has but to win on more match to accomplish her task. By defeating Miss Louise Hammond of New York in the singles final round of the national tournament at the Philadelphia Phil-adelphia Cricket club. Miss Hotchkiss earned the right to challege Mrs. Bar-gcr-Wallach of New York, present holder of the title. They will meet tomorrow afternoon. In the first set of today's match Miss Hotchkiss, though speedy, put many balls out of the coirt. The eecond set witnessed a reversal of form. Miss Hotchkiss steadying down while Miss Hammond lost control of her btorkes. The deciding set was hard fought.
