Show Naples Jo' Openshaw Phone 789-3157 - Naples cub scouts hold banquet Naples 1st ward primary held their Blue and Gold Banquet Feb. 17 in the Naples Ward cultural hall for all cub scouts and their parents. A special event of the evening was that all of Joan Huntings den received their Wolf Badges and all of Ron and Ronda Jones den received their Bear Badges. Dee and Mary Manwaring of Provo visited their sister Thelma Manwaring Wednesday afternoon. Spending the weekend with Dale and Bonnie Bowden and family were Bonnie's mother Elizabeth Reese, her sister Carol McKinnon and daughter Sarah, and Mrs. Bowden's aunts Jean Hardman and Ethawin Spencer all of Heber. Dennis and Sherrie Atkinson and family took Mrs. Atkinson's mother, Amy Pringle, to Salt Lake City Sunday afternoon, returning Tuesday. Reva Ruppe accompanied the Fran Petersons to Roosevelt Saturday to watch the wrestling finals. Ralph and Nellie Southam received word of a new granddaughter born to the Everett Southams in Chico, Calif., Feb. 21 the little miss has five brothers and one sister to welcome her home. Alice Clerico and daughter Valerie of Lapoint attended meetings and visited friends in Naples 1st Ward Sunday. Shirley Price spent Tuesday through Thursday in Salt Lake City on business for the attorney general office. While in Salt Lake City he visited at the home of Gale and Sue Price and the Bill Casadays. Jerry and Becky Brueningsen of Hastings, Neb., are visiting Bishop and Mrs. Kristen Wilson and family. Mrs. Brueningsen and Mrs. Wilson are sisters. Dennis and Sherrie Atkinsons daughter Tonya, was an overnight patient in the Uintah County Hospital Friday night. Steven Cook from USU in Logan spent the weekend with his parents, Morris and Norda Cook and family. Kathy and Annette Evans, students at BYU in Provo come to visit their grandparents Glenn and Ada Open- shaw over the weekend. They also visited their uncle and aunt, the Norman Nor-man Haslems while here. i , - Elaine Merrell of Salt Lake City visited over the weekend with her parents, Grant and Frances Merrell and sister Jane. Elva Manwaring returned Feb. 15 from a weeks visit with Gary and Eva Lyn Lund and family of Huntsville. Elva Manwaring received word of a new granddaughter born Feb. 11 to Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Manwaring of Redmond, Wash. The little one will be named Antonette. A testimonial was held Sunday in Naples 1st Ward for David Lind who leaves Feb. 26 for the MTC in Provo to prepare for his LDS mission to Pittsburg, Pitt-sburg, Pa. Wade and Ronda Olsen entertained at a family party for their son Jason's first birthday. Present were Charles and Hazel Olsen, Dan and Brenda Olsen and sons, Arnold and Vena Baker and 'Arlyn and Brett and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Baker. Cake and ice cream was served. Timothy and Yvette Thomas have moved to Naples 1st Ward. |
