Curtain time is 8:15 p.m. This will be the third concert of the 1980-81 season to the members of the Uintah Community Concert Association. Laureate Ensemble to perform in Vernal The Laureate Ensemble will present the third concert of the 1980-81 season to members of the Uintah Community Concert Association on Tuesday, March 3, in the Vernal Junior High School Auditorium, according to Curtis May, association president. Curtain time is 8:15 p.m. These five instrumentalists will play , a varied program representing early : and. later eras of music. Timothy Malosh, flute, attended Wayne State . University in Detroit and then com-; com-; pleted his bachelor and master's degrees at the Juilliard School in New York City. He has performed with many orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, the Detroit Symphony, and the New York City Ballet Orchestra. Bernard Yannotta, clarinet is presently a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Yale University, Univer-sity, having already been awarded degrees from Carnegie-Mellon University, the Juilliard School, and the Conservatoire de Rouen. More than twenty international festivals have , showcased his talents as a solo recitalist and with orchestras. Brian Buttolph, bassoon., began studying his instrument when he was thirteen. He received his Bachelor and Master's degrees from Juilliard School of Music and has performed with the Atlanta Symphony the Atlanta Chamber Orchestra, the American Ballet Theatre Orchestra and the Bronx Arts Ensemble. Stephen Conrad, French horn,' is a graduate of the Philadelphia Music Academy. He is currently a member of the Philadelphia Pops and has performed per-formed with the Northeastern Pennsylvania Penn-sylvania Philharmonic, the Pennsylvania Penn-sylvania Orchestra and at several festivals in Italy. James Gemmell, piano, received his Bachlor of Music Degree from Oberlin College and has Master's from the Juilliard School where he is now enrolled in the Doctor of Musical Arts ,, program. Mr. Gemmell has taught at the Juilliard School, the State University of New York at Purchase, Hunter College, and is presently on the St. John's University faculty. He has concertized extensively throughout the United States, Canada and South America. Association members are reminded that they may bring out of town guests with them. All children and students must sit with their parents or another adult and remain in their seats until intermission. Following intermission, they must remain seated until the close of the program, Mr. May concluded. |
