Magic-Capades sets date j Magic-Capades, the largest lar-gest traveling magic show in the country, is coming to Moab on Monday, April 17. The show is sponsored by Moab Jaycees and will appear at the Helen M. Knight Elementary School at 7:30 p.m. The Magic show features fea-tures Magician Illusionist Dennis Loomis who is well known in the magic world for his tricks such as "The Floating Lady," and the "Sword Cabinet," as well as his adeptness at getting out of sticky situations, Houdini style. Just before coming to Moab Loomis will perform ! in the Salt Lake City area. ' Included in his visit to : Utah's capitol city will be his escape from a strait i jacket locked by Utah Governor Scott Matheson. The unique feature about Loomis' feat will be the fact that he will be suspended sus-pended upside down high in the air above the state capitol building while freeing himself from his bonds. Proceeds from local ticket sales will go to the Moab Jaycees general fund, which benefits many community activities in Moab such as the city Christmas lights and decorations, tho ambulance ambu-lance fund, and lending of hospital bods, wheelchairs and crutches.
