Show Easter accidents checked by Moab City Police There were several accidents investigated by Moab City Police during the busy Easter holiday weekend. On March 24 at 2:45 p.m. Hazel R. Dunn was eastbound on 3rd N. driving a 1966 Ford. She failed to see Scott Mallon who was southbound on Main in a 1969 Bronco, and entered the intersection. intersec-tion. In the resulting collision, there was about $100 damage to the Dunn vehicle and about $75 damage to the Bronco. Mrs. Dunn was cited for failure to yield right of way. On March 26 at 9:15 a.m. Glen W. Pearmain, driving a 1977 Chevrolet ton pickup, made a left turn from Kane Creek Blvd. onto Main. He failed to yield to a 1973 FonUac driven by Brian D. Brooks which had just entered Main from Canyonlands CamPark, and the two collided. There was about $1800 damage to the truck and about $1100 damage to the sedan. Pearmain was cited for failure to yield right of way. On March 25 at 7 p.m. James Charles was driving dri-ving a 1977 Chevrolet pickup on Main between 1st and 2nd South. He ran into the rear of a 1977 Suzuki 550 driven by Roy Pennington. There was about $150 damage to the bike and about $175 dam- age to the pickup. Charles was cited for improper lookout. On March 24 at 1:35 p.m. Robert Winfield was driving a 1963 Ranchero, making a right turn from 3rd South to Main, and ran into the right rear of a 1976 Granada driven by Neva M. Bowen. There was about S300 damage to the Ranchero and about $400 damage to the Granada. Gran-ada. Winfield was cited for failure to yield right of way. Charles McCormick reported that a 1968 Chevrolet Chev-rolet half-ton pickup was stolen from his residence at about 3 a.m. Saturday morning. It is dull red in color, with Canyonlands Auto on the side, and is still missing. |
