I Damage by dogs j cited by officer j Moab City Animal Control Con-trol officer Leon Stocks reported that another incident in-cident involving uncontrolled uncon-trolled dogs and livestock lad occurred sometime early Tuesday morning. James L. Walker, owner own-er of a farm at 675 N. 5th W reported Tuesday that he had found a dead calf, valued at $100, which had the back of the head and I the neck chewed, appar- I ently by a dog or dogs. He ' also mentioned that he J has lost $250 to $300 in rabbits to roaming dogs in i recent months. Officer Stocks stated I that the dog problem in the area of Fifth West is getting bad enough that drastic action will soon have to be taken. He warns that dog owners in that area must keep their dogs under control at night, as well as during the day. Stocks also reminds re-minds owners that under Moab City ordinances, dogs that molest livestock, fowl, or people may be "put to sleep" when caught, or shot. He will be keeping a close surveillance surveil-lance on the area for the next few weeks. |
