Show Plateau Resources names official A new vice president - assigned to handle financial finan-cial affairs, accounting and corporate operations, has been elected by the board of directors of Plateau Pla-teau Resources, Limited, on March 21 in Jackson, Mich. Blake O. Fisher, Jr., formerly director of special spe-cial corporate projects for Consumers Power Company, Com-pany, will have the title of vice president-corporate. He will be located in the firm's region operations office in Grand Junction, Colorado. Fisher will report to Russell C. Youngdahl, president of Plateau Resources Re-sources and executive vice president-energy supply for Consumers Power Company of Jackson. Pla-, teau is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Consumers Power. Fisher joined Consumers Con-sumers Power in 1967 as an associate analyst and held various responsibilities responsibili-ties in the economic and financial planning department depart-ment before being named principal analyst in 1973. He was appointed director of special corporate projects pro-jects in June, 1976. Fisher earned his bachelor bach-elor of science degree in industrial engineering from the University of . Michigan in 1966 and received a masters degree from the university in 1967. He is a member of the American Statistical Association and the Economic Eco-nomic Society. Plateau Resources, Limited Lim-ited is a Utah corporation formed in June 1976 to engage in the exploration, mining, milling, purchase and sale of uranium from properties in the Hanks-ville Hanks-ville and Blanding areas. Offices of Plateau Resources Re-sources are located in Jackson, Grand Junction and Salt Lake City. The firm has about 110 employees. em-ployees. The parent company, Consumers Power, is an electric and gas utility serving about 3.3 million people in Michigan's Lower Peninsula. It serves 1.25 million electric customers. cus-tomers. Consumers Power operates oper-ates two nuclear generating gen-erating plants with a combined com-bined capacity of 791,000 kilowatts and is building a two-unit nuclear facility which will generate 1,300 1,300,000 kilowatts of power and supply process steam to a major manufacturing manufac-turing company. Plateau Resources is assigned the long term objective of supplying part of the yellowcake requirements of the utility. |
