Show Enterprise Mrs. Theresa Huntsman Reporter A bridal shower honoring Mrs. Inez Thomas, formerly Miss Inez Cunningham was given in the Relief Society house Wednesday. A large crowd attended and many-gifts many-gifts vere given the bride. Mrs. Thomas is not a local resident but attended high school here for four years and has a host of friends here. The Relief society gave a social in honor of its opening session last Wednesday night. A large crowd of Enterprise people attended the barn dance in Cedar City last Thursday night. Our people took part in the dance. This with other numbers from here was broadcast over K.S.U.B. The Enterprise Civics club sponsored spon-sored the program and it is reported re-ported that sixty-five people from here attended. It is reported that the Southern Utah Medical association has voted to discontinue our health clinics which have been held here once a month for the past year. Dr. Prestwich and three Iron county nurses and our local nurse, Mrs. Mary Holt have had the clinic in charge and have done a lot of good. While it was known as a "Well Baby Clinic," it has been of value in more ways than one. It has given us access to a good doctor once a month for sick babies and pregnant mothers and any one needing medical attention at-tention has been able to get it without going forty-five miles after it. We have appreciated these services of the doctor and nurses and regret that they have been discontinued. Mrs. and Mrs. Lamar Gray and Miss Orilla Lamb spent Sunday here from Pioche visiting with Mr. and Mrs. I. H. Lamb. The Enterprise Soil Conservations Conserva-tions district has been allowed by the state committee and a referendum referen-dum meeting will be held soon here. |
