Show Columbus Day Program Given By Hurricane School A Columbus Day program of songs, poems and stories will be presented by all the grades in assembly Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. reported P. H. Gates principal of the school. He also stated that special units in art work are being prepared under the direction of Glen Webb art instructor. in-structor. The sixth grade students are making an Egyptian wall freize; the fifth grade is learning how to use water colors in painting landscapes; land-scapes; the fourth graders are busy drawing Columbus' Flag ship; while the lower grades are industriously indus-triously drawing Hallowe'en subjects sub-jects and coloring them with crayons. Each Friday a social hour is held. Children who can't be induced in-duced to join in the dancing are provided with games to make them happy too during this period. |
