Show Dance Group Pleases In First Lyceum Number The first number of the Dixie college lyceum course was presented pre-sented by the Frazer-James Dance Group Friday evening in the college col-lege auditorium. Though greeted by a small crowd, the program was very pleasing; the only dissatisfaction dissatis-faction expressed was that the waits between numbers made the program move rather slowly. Various forms of the dance were represented. Classical music was the theme around which the dances were constructed. The emotions emo-tions and rhythm of the classics were well expressed by the performers. per-formers. Mr. Frazer pleased the group with his piano numbers and his introductions of the dance presentations. pre-sentations. He expressed delight at the quality of the piano, which has recently been purchased by the college. The next lyceum number will be presented October 28, and will be the presentation of Leona Flood, world-renowned violinist, according to Pres. B. Glen Smith. President Smith expresses a hope that the public will patronize this number in a way that will demonstrate demon-strate their true appreciation of real culture. |
