Show Short Creek, Ariz. Mrs. I. W. Carling v Reporter James Cox, George Black, i Howard Fish, Marvin Black, La- j Rae Lauritzen, Lorana Fish and j Naomi Carling, who are attending high school at Fredonia came home on October 6 for a four day visit with their folks on account ac-count of Teacher's institute. They returned to Fredonia on Monday. Mrs. Julia Little returned here after visiting friends and relatives in Salt Lake City. Our school went on a hike Saturday. Sat-urday. The lower grades for a pine-nut hunt around the foot hills and a lunch at the home of their teacher, Mrs. Elizabeth Lauritzen. The upper grades went up Short Creek canyon. A dance was held here Friday night and a good time was had by all. Asa Judd and son, Carlyle of Fredonia were visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lauritzen Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Cutler and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Lauritzen made a trip to Fredonia on Sunday. John T. Spencer made a trip to Cedar City last week. Warren Black made a trip to Cedar and New Harmony Friday returning on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Bye Hutchings and family have moved to Pipe Valley. They have been living in one of J. T. Spencer's cabins. W. E. Johnson came in from his saw mill at Glendale to visit his family for a day or two. |
