Show Seminary Building Dedicated Saturday Night President Grant Speaks At Dedication And Graduation Exercises Dedication of the St. George L.D.S. Seminary building, which took place before a large audience last Saturday night, was a most impressive though brief service, state those who witnessed the program. Coming from Salt Lake City for the purpose of dedicating the building was, Pres. Heber J. Grant, accompanied by his associate as-sociate in the presidency, Rudgar Clawson, and his son-in-law, Robert L. Judd, former St. George boy, and now a member of the church welfare board. Also attending was Dr. Frank L. West, church supervisor of religious education. edu-cation. The dedicatory prayer was pronounced by President Grant. Roy A. West and Pearson H. Corbett are local religious instructors. instruc-tors. Institute Insti-tute and 30 Seminary graduates were honored with a program of music and addresses by Doctor West and President Grant. This complete service was made the Saturday evening session of the stake quarterly conference and was attended by well over 1000 people. President Grant and Rudgar Claw-son were also speakers at the 3 p.m. session at the St. George Temple. Saturday, and inspected the entire building which had undergone improvements since their last visit to this section. Eoth expressed themselves as highly gratified with the improvements improve-ments made, with the seminary building and with the start made on the new bishop's storehouse. |
