Show La Yerkin Mrs. Alice Gabler Reporter Horatio Gubler, who has been teaching school at Bicknell high, Wayne county, has returned home for the summer, with his family. The turkey growers here are now shipping their laying flocks to market. George Hardy has been appointed ap-pointed as town pound-keeper and our streets are surprisingly free of livestock. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Keller and baby son, of Billings, Mont., are visiting her mother, Mrs. Pearl Henroid. Mrs. Keller is the former Flora Webb. They are enroute to the world's fair at San Francisco Fran-cisco and adjacent interests. The LaVerkin primary children chil-dren presented the operetta, "The Land of Happy Hearts" to a well-filled well-filled house. The stake officers present were, Mrs. Mary Smith, president and Kate Isom, first counselor; Miss Loraine Heaton and Mrs. Ella Wittwer, secretary. Mrs. Smith gave an address of appreciation for the untiring efforts ef-forts of the performers as well as praise to those who helped put it over. Ed Gubler has returned from Salt Lake City, having been accompanied ac-companied by his mother, Mrs. Mary A. Gubler; brother, Harris H, and his wife, Thora. Theron Stevens is home again from Las Vegas. He has been working for the railroad there. |
