Show Accident Yictims Are Recovering At Hospital A truck-driver, who is reported to have momentarily dozed at his wheel about 2Vi miles over the Arizona line last Sunday afternoon, after-noon, side-swiping two approaching cars, seriously injuring the driver of each. The victims were rushed to St. George where it was found that the man, Nick Landrail, of 475 Centennial St., Los Angeles, had bad facial lacerations above the left eye,- the left shoulder flesh torn to the bone and the large blood vessel severed; his pelvis fractured in at least six places and the head of the left leg bone driven into the abdominal ab-dominal cavity. The other passenger hurt, a girl named Cleo P. Martindale, also of Los Angeles, has a bad skull fracture, with slight subdural sub-dural hemorrhage, which Dr. L. W. The left side of her face was lacerated, I her arms and legs bruised and the 9 and 10 left ribs broken. This (Thursday) morning both patients were reported doing better bet-ter than anticipated. |
