Show New Harmony M. Hammond Reporter Kent Grant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Grant, was rushed to the Iron county hospital Wednesday for an operation. At this writing he is okay. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Burk of Gardena, Calif., spent Thursday at the home of Mrs. Burk's nephew, Orson Hammond, and family. Friday evening the school and primary gave us a program including in-cluding the play. "The Land of Happy Hearts" Glenn Graff, the principal of our school, with his students, left Monday intending to make a tour of different parks in Southern Utah. A number of our townsfolk attended at-tended a genealogical convention held at Parowan Sunday. Speakers from Salt Lake City were Joseph H. Smith and Mr. Bowering. who gave us timely instruction. The Misses Fay and Melba Mathis returned home Sunday from Cedar Valley where they have been teaching school the past winter. Miss Fay Mathis underwent a tonsil operation Monday in Dr. Burksom's office in Cedar City. Mrs. Avery Bringhurst of Toquerville and Mrs. Berry Williams Wil-liams of Kanarrah were visiting relatives here Monday. Lyle Prince has been suffering with a severe cold the past week. |
