Show SCOTCH CRONIES H OUTIFIG Hoot Mon! The Scotch Cronies of Ogden and a hundred or more members of the Thistle club of Salt Lake held their annual outing at tho Hermitage yesterday yes-terday afternoon, the day being passed pass-ed in singing, dancing and various forms of amusement. The 6trcet cars were taxed to their utmost to handle the crowds of "Jocks" and "Uonolo lassies," who gathered for a day of Scotch merrymaking. merry-making. Tartans without number were displayed and not a few kilted Johnnies were also observed wearing tiieir regalia as only a Highlander can. The bag pipes were also In evidence evi-dence and added much to the festlvo scene. Toward evening when a portion of the picnickers returned to their bomes the crowded cars resounded with Scotch melodies, every man with a vocal organ constituting himself a Harry louder for the edification and amusement of the ' Iassle6" and rendering ren-dering such favorites as "I'm the Saftest of the Family," 'Stop Your Tickling, Jock" and "Annie Laurie" and others. A more enjoyable outing ras never been spent by the Scotch ptople siuce the local clubs were organized. |
